Light Up the Room

On my many visits to Pinterest this past year, I kept seeing really wonderful knit and crochet lampshade covers, and I knew they would be a perfect project for the TV show. These are fairly easy projects and are worked in one long piece that is wrapped around the shade once finished. The knit cover is an easy lace stitch, and the crochet is a shell stitch repeat.

Do you know the “multiple” of this pattern? My lampshade is not this size, and I have two other lampshades that I want to make a shade for that are different. Thank you.
Oh, I’m sorry–I meant to add that I want the crochet version multiple.
The lampshade pattern can be adjusted by starting with multiples of 7 plus 2
(Note that the actual shell repeat is multiples of 7 plus 1, but for the
full pattern which includes the edging, you need to start the pattern in a multiple of 7 plus 2.)
Making the knit one, turns out great but I think there’s an error in the directions — one pattern repeat is 4” not 1”. KR
