Knit and Crochet Now! TV patterns are developed by our team of expert crafters. When Brett Bara is not in front of the camera on Knit and Crochet Now, she works independently as a writer, designer, television personality, spokesperson and consultant in the craft and DIY (do-it-yourself) community. Brett is the former Editor in Chief of Crochet Today magazine.
Our color expert, Kristin Nicholas, is the author of eight books, including Color by Kristin, Kristin Knits, Colorful Stitchery, Kids Embroidery, Knitting for Baby and more. She lives on Leyden Glen Farm, a working sheep farm in western Massachusetts, and her colorful home has been featured in numerous publications.
Robyn Chachula, the author of six books, including Blueprint Crochet, Baby Blueprint Crochet, Blueprint Crochet Sweaters, and Simply Crochet, creates architecturally inspired pieces and has her own crochet design company, Crochet by Faye. Her patterns have been featured in numerous magazines, including Crochet!
Maggie Pace is an artist, graphic designer and avid crafter, but the bulk of her professional experience is in knitting. She started her career in fiber arts when she founded Pick Up Sticks, a knitting design company, in 2003. One of her specialties is knitted felt! She is the author of two felting books, Felt Forward and Felt It!: 20 Fun & Fabulous Projects to Knit & Felt.
Crochet expert Ellen Gormley, the author of Go Crochet! Afghan Design Workbook, is particularly well-known for her stylish bead crochet and join-as-you-go crochet and motif designs. She is the instructor for two Annie’s Online Classes, Learn to Crochet and Crocheting with Beads and her designs have been published in both Crochet! and Crochet World magazines.
